Okarche company to be recognized | Business

An Okarche-based company will be recognized Monday afternoon for its efforts to help others "go green."

OEM Systems, Inc. is based out of Okarche and is tasked with performing vehicle conversions to compressed natural gas.

The company does the conversions for private customers along with state agencies, municipalities and schools across the country.

Recently, the group completed its 2,000th conversion to CNG.

In honor of the accomplishment, Gov. Mary Fallin will recognize the company at a press conference Monday afternoon.

Fallin, along with a group of governors from 10 other states, has launched an initiative to promote the use of CNG vehicles in state automobile fleets.
