District pantry looking for donations | People
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
The Kingfisher Public School District is hoping generous citizens will donate non-perishable items to the district's new food pantry.
Earlier this month, the district hosted the "Jacket Food Pantry" to collect food, which will be handed out to needy students throughout the year.
Organizers say students will be allowed to get food from the pantry two times a month by appointment or on an "open" day.
The pantry is designed to help students who are on free or reduced lunches.
Each of the families will be able to pick out food and will be provided with one sack per family member.
Although the food drive is over, organizers say they will continue to accept donations.
For more information, contact any school counselor in the district.
